Privacy Policy

SensorPull is an independent app for viewing data from SensorPush environmental sensors. This policy explains what the app does with your information.

The short version: SensorPull has no servers, and its developer receives no data from you whatsoever.

Who we are

SensorPull is a side project developed by a passionate SensorPush user. It is an independent product and is not operated by SensorPush, although it is published with their permission and uses their official developer API.

What SensorPull collects

Nothing is collected by us. SensorPull contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no crash reporting and no third-party SDKs of any kind. There is no SensorPull account, no SensorPull server, and no way for us to see who uses the app or what their sensors report.

What the app stores on your device

To do its job, SensorPull keeps the following on your device only:

• Your SensorPush sign-in tokens. Stored in the Apple keychain. Held in a shared keychain group so that the app, its widgets and the Apple Watch app and the macOS app can all read your sensors. They never leave your device except when sent back to SensorPush to authenticate.
• Your sensor readings. Downloaded from your SensorPush account and stored in a local database so that charts and history work offline. This may include temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, dew point, VPD and altitude, with the time each reading was taken.
• The names of your sensors. Cached so that widgets can offer you a list of sensors to display, even when the app is not running.
• Your preferences, such as whether you prefer Celsius or Fahrenheit.

Signing out clears your stored tokens and cached sensor list.

Deleting the app removes everything above, including your downloaded reading history. Your history is not deleted from SensorPush servers and can be downloaded again by signing back in.

What leaves your device, and where it goes

SensorPull communicates with exactly one service: the SensorPush API at api.sensorpush.com, and the SensorPush sign-in page at cloud.sensorpush.com.

This happens when you sign in, and when the app fetches your readings. Nothing else is transmitted anywhere, to anyone.

Your relationship with SensorPush — including what they store and for how long — is governed by their privacy policy, not this one. Signing in lets the app on your device fetch your readings. It does not give the developer any access — there is no SensorPull server for your data to pass through.

Sign-in

On iPhone, iPad and Mac, you sign in through SensorPush's own web sign-in page shown inside the app. Your password is entered on SensorPush's page and is not read, stored or transmitted by SensorPull.

On Apple Watch, where showing a web page is not possible, SensorPull sends your provided email address and password directly to SensorPush's authentication endpoint over an encrypted connection. They are used for that single request and are not stored. If you sign in on your iPhone, iPad or Mac first, there is no need to sign in on your Apple Watch at all.

Exported files

You can export a sensor's history as a CSV file. Once you export it, the file is yours and goes wherever you send it. SensorPull does not have access to your exports.

Children

SensorPull is not directed at children and does not collect information from anyone. It is a utility for hardware owners.

If you email us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use it only to reply, we do not add you to any mailing list, and we delete messages once the matter is resolved.

Your rights

Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct or delete. To remove everything SensorPull has stored, sign out or delete the app. For data held by SensorPush, contact SensorPush directly.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change and the current version will always be available at https://sensorpull.app/privacy.html.
